What Makes A Healthy Relationship?
I feel that the healthiest kind of relationships are not necessarily the most enjoyable relationships - and they are never the easiest to maintain. One cannot judge a relationship on the "feeling" one gets from it. Neither can friendships be determined solely upon how much one enjoys the company of another - for this is a very shallow determinate indeed.
A truly healthy relationship is where each member of the relationship impacts the other in a positive way (Notice I say each other? While a one-sided friendship may help you at first, it eventually becomes detrimental). In a healthy relationship, an intermingling of thoughts, ideas, and perspectives on life occur. An intertwining of destinies takes place. In short, when the season of the relationship is over, you take something home with you that is more than just a memory. You have been impacted, your boat of life has had its course set for a brighter horizon.
